Another year written in stone.
Are we hoping? Are we praying?
(for not as much snow as last year, ...)
I don't know about you but 2015 was one bumpy ride for me. As they say, "it was the best of times and the worst of times".
The trick in carving out a new year, is finding beauty in and gratitude for the rough edges in the past. We often make the mistake of hoping and praying never to have hardship. This is a futile exercise since, we as a people, as an earth have never been without sorrow. It is part of our evolution.
As you ponder what this New Year may bring, you may have some challenges between you and your goals. You may want to turn away from the sharp edges. Instead try to see them as opportunities for real transformation. Like a carver discovering what the stone wishes to express.
So at the beginning of this New Year, I am wishing that you may see the beauty of the past and trust that whatever 2016 may bring will be stunning!
“So tak o’cup of kindness, for auld lange syne.
